Fundamentals for School Kitchen Assistants

Description:
The role of the kitchen assistant in schools is varied and can be undertaken by staff with a range of skills and qualifications. This short course covers the fundamentals for kitchen assistants considered to be common requirements across most schools (ordering, storage and preparation of food, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and working collaboratively with others). Includes four online tutorial sessions plus access to five units from the hospitality training package contextualised for the school kitchen setting. Aimed at those who wish to upskill by doing some nationally recognised training or for those who wish to learn more about the essential aspects of the role.
